LONG TERM CONTRACT (6-12 MONTHS)
DIGITAL GRAPHIC DESIGNER
HYBRID POSITION- WESTERN SUBURBS!
Our retail client, is seeking a Digital Graphic Designer to join their team on a contract basis. This person will report to the Creative Director and will be responsible for supporting and collaborating with other designers from kick-off to final delivery. This individual will be assisting a new department that is ultimately looking to elevate the brand.
You’ll be creating emails, web banners, paid social ads but will also include postcards and signage. Our client is looking for someone with strong sense of design using color, imagery, and typography (High end retail samples with clean imagery). Must have samples to showcase in your portfolio!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with other designers and creative director - working as an executor to complete weekly campaign packages including emails, web banners and paid/organic social posts.
- Maintain brand consistency in all designs.
- Continually evolving templates and ways of serving up the same information in different ways.
- Creative thinking - not every project will be neatly packaged, and you will be required to make recommendations or smart choices.
- Collaboration with marketing team to obtain info to work quickly and accurately
- 50% design and 50% production (essential to have strong production skills).
- Production experience includes slicing emails, preparing presentations, exporting artwork, and searching for information
Qualifications:
- BS in Graphic Design or a related field, or 5+ years of full-time design experience
- Must have strong design portfolio with print and digital design examples
- Ability to design within brand standards.
- Copywriting experience is a plus
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and XD.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Specifically Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word).
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Positive energetic attitude with ability to deal with last minute changes and ability to switch gears quickly if needed
