Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, this position will lead a team of Regional Development Managers (RDM) and the corporate development support team. Responsible for driving profitable new customer growth by executing goals, identifying business opportunities (leveraging analytics), and negotiating contracts. Leads national accounts in addition to new regional business development, domestically and internationally.

Principal Responsibilities:

Executes goals for driving profitable new store growth, with guidance from the Regional Directors and Executive Vice President.

· Works closely with Region Leadership and Territory Performance Managers to execute long-term strategic new business development goals.

· Leverages advanced analytics to prioritize business opportunities within respective region, ensuring RDM resources are assigned to the right opportunities.

· Maintains team focus on key priorities for the month, quarter, and year.

· Leads weekly, monthly, and quarterly New Business Development meetings, and ensures action items assigned are carried out.

· Helps facilitate international development initiatives as needed.

· Works with Area Developers on their development expectations.

· Works sales opportunities through the full suite of offerings.

· Ensures timely processing of franchise renewals and transfers.

· Ensures new sales are processed efficiently and correctly from sale to opening, smooth transition of franchisee from sales team to operations team.

· Manages development KPI’s.

Coaching RDM’s

· Responsible for Performance Management of RDM’s performance and routines.

· Design and implement formal training programs for RDM’s with major focus on targeted segment opportunities.

· Establish ongoing training and development of RDM’s through participation in General Sales Meetings, promotions, and Food Shows / Distributor meetings and industry events.

Site Surveys and National Account visits

· Provide support as needed.

· Evaluate and coach RDM’s in conjunction with Regional Director Resources / Director of Ops Services.

Coordinate/Execute Tradeshows

· Ensure planning and execution are in place for those events

Development Support

· In collaboration with the Director of Contracts, ensures the compliance with all local, state, federal and applicable international franchise laws

· Manages development function through CRM platform

Required Skills & Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales preferred.

· 10+ years relevant sales experience preferably in franchise, foodservice, retail or distribution environment. Must have deep knowledge of convenience store sales.

· Proven effective leadership of 5 or more remote direct reports

· Experience with Customer Business Database (CRM) is required. Microsoft 365, SalesForce preferred.

· Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

· Must be able to travel within assigned region 75% of the time with overnight travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $151,325.00 - $168,345.00 per year
