Supervisory Responsibility
May direct design engineers, drafters, and technical engineers working on specific projects and assists the Office Manager with general marketing of McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. to existing clients and potential clients.

Summary

Project managers are first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising from within the heads of various departments in an organization before the problem escalates to higher authorities, as project representative.

This position will be responsible for various projects across Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. This position manages the development, implementation and evaluation of complex designs, and approves changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project. In addition, the Project Manager/ABDM monitors progress and performance against the project plan. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Provides mentoring of entry and mid-level engineers within the office. May give input into developing the budget.

Essential Functions
Planning, development, implementation and evaluation with the management of a wide variety of projects.

Resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

Maintain the progress, mutual interaction and tasks various parties in such a way that reduces the risk of overall failure, maximizes benefits, and minimizes costs.

Marketing and liaison to existing and prospective clients

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering field
  • Candidates must have a good work ethic and a desire to learn
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Professional Engineer License
  • 5 years’ experience as a Civil Engineer Project Manager

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
