Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for summer 2023. Working with experienced engineers, you will perform work on a software application utilized for RF Payload Mission Analysis and Simulation. This software toolkit supports various system analysts in support of mission planning and execution. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of fundamentals of software engineering, familiarity with software design patterns, knowledge of object-oriented software, and basic experience with the Java language and tools such as git, Eclipse, and MATLAB. Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Actively enrolled in a Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math or other related degree program from an accredited college/university.
Basic knowledge of at least 1 programming language.
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Orbit analysis (STK), Matlab, Java, Model based systems engineering
Experience with Software design patterns and Eclipse
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office
