Position Overview

First Impressions Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is the leading pediatric specialist clinic in the state of Wisconsin. With ten office locations, we're fortunate to work within and support many different communities, with a steadfast commitment to delivering the very best care for kids. We are currently seeking to expand our team of marketing and communication professionals in an effort to more effectively communicate with- and inform- our patients and families across all office locations. This Marketing Specialist will support the company by working with key individuals within First Impressions to develop and execute audience outreach. This role is responsible for managing the image and reputation of First Impressions Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, and will actively work to keep First Impressions' clinics “top of mind” across multiple platforms.

Let's discuss the work efforts you can look forward to having ownership of:

  • Research our unique clinic communities to identify our target audience, competitors and marketing opportunities for each location.
  • Develop communication strategies based on this research, while considering differentiating elements such as locale, demographics and psychographics.
  • Coordinate internal and external meeting requests for the Marketing & Communications team, including intermittent report-out meetings to First Impressions' Partners (owners).
  • Review and organize all incoming donation requests from community businesses, through emails and our online donation request form.
  • Manage to an allocated budget, keeping track of investments and ROI metrics (for example: report out on the effectiveness of a campaign, sponsorship, etc.)
  • Champion all messaging and social media platforms on behalf of First Impressions, including - at this time - our YouTube channel, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts. This includes content ideation, creation, writing and posting across all platforms on a regular basis (per your recommended posting schedule).
  • Maintain a growing social media following for First Impressions and take the initiative to keep up with current market trends, competitors' accounts, etc.
  • Monitor and reply to all Google Reviews received for all locations.
  • Uphold First Impressions' brand standards through elements such as correct logo usage, approved brand colors, taglines.
  • Facilitate ordering of marketing materials - print and promotional. Organize and maintain up-to-date inventory tracking to ensure re-orders of items are timely.
  • Collaborate with our team's Brand Strategist and Graphic Designer on concept development and execution of print and media campaigns.
  • Manage sponsored community events, including all elements of event coordination (scheduling of staff volunteers, promotional materials needed, set-up and promotion of event involvement).
  • Write and publish Press Releases on as-needed basis, to help promote seasonal campaigns and community efforts to parents, caregivers, and patients, as well as to prospective employees. Maintain database of community contacts.
  • Assist in content and creative development for website features: www.fidkids.com.
  • Develop and provide marketing and public relation programs that promote the gain of new patients as well as retention of current patients.
  • Creative freedom to develop and pitch new concepts and approaches! We're hoping you can help us keep up with new marketing trends and opportunities,; your ideas are always welcome.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar area of study -- or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with routine proposals and updates to FID Board of Directors.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft suites.
  • Helpful if you have WordPress experience!
  • Ability to manage a budget.
  • Must be creative and innovative.
  • Strong understanding of new marketing trends and opportunities, technology and how they may be applied or used within our marketing initiatives
  • Ability to travel to First Impressions' office locations.
