Commercial Lending Management (“CLM”) is responsible for the end-to-end commercial lending process for clients of the US CCB. Key responsibilities of CLM include loan underwriting, credit and financial due diligence, loan structuring and documentation, portfolio management, and credit delivery and servicing. CLM manages approximately $22 billion in credit exposure across nearly 2,000 credit relationships and a range of industries, including technology, industrials, healthcare, branded consumer, agriculture and energy. Key loan product capabilities include lines of credit, term loans, commercial real estate mortgages, SBA and EXIM agency-backed loan facilities, foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives, as well as various forms of cross border lending throughout the CCB’s global network of 30+ countries. As part of US CLM, the Governance, Productivity & Strategy (“GPS”) team owns end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of the US CCB’s lending platform. The team is accountable for driving improvements in overall lending productivity and accountability, client experience, and E2E turnaround time, and is responsible for ensuring the CCB’s underwriting standards, controls, lending procedures, policies and procedures are complete, up-to-date, and in compliance with all bank policies and the latest regulatory requirements.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated senior professional to manage the GPS team. The role will be based in either New York, NY/ Greater NY Area/ Irving, TX/ San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ability to self-service, compile and consolidate data into a singular view that is consumable by leaders and staff
• Ability to analyze and identify trends across the portfolio, KPIs and operational aspects of CLM that drives action and change
• Build tactical and interim solutions to delivery on short term objectives while supporting long term goals to ensure improvement in performance, portfolio management and regulatory adherence
• Monitor KPIs for lending management, portfolio metrics and operational management
• Understand the current technology infrastructure and how to best delivery tactical and strategically solutions to the end users and management staff
• Build reusable solutions with proper controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to build capabilities for recommendation and use in analytical product development across Citi lines of businesses.

Critical competencies for ideal candidate:

• Proven track record in analytics and insights that drives accountability and action
• A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services
• Understands management and users needs and execute against those needs
• Knowledge of credit, regulatory, business data sources and analytic techniques that are used at scale by large
• Understands underwriting, credit portfolio management processes in Citi or in other global Commercial and/or Corporate Banking institutions
• Understanding of global credit policies, local credit programs and country-level appendices, impact to analytics, MIS and reporting
• Must have prior experience in commercial portfolio analytics

Qualifications:

• Python or technical equivalent preferred
• 3+ years of experience with Business Intelligence tools in development or in facilitation of development
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in working across business teams with technology in delivering for users and management
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Knowledge and can perform general coding languages
• Good interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills - written and spoken
• Good team player interested in sharing knowledge and cross-training other team members and shows interest in learning new technologies and products.
• Experience working in Financial Services
• Knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
• Extensive analytic/diagnostic skills
