Torch Lake Yacht and Country Club is a private club located on beautiful Torch Lake in Northern Michigan. We are looking for a head chef to serve casual lunches, occasional dinners and breakfasts to our 250 members from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We are fast-paced, customer-centric and social. Housing is available.

Torch Lake Yacht Club is seeking a passionate, energetic and innovative Head Chef to be responsible for the daily management of kitchen operations and to lead a team of talented chefs, cooks, sous chefs and dishwashers. The Head Chef will coordinate with all kitchen staff to ensure that quality is at the forefront of all menus and food preparation. Our Head Chef will also be responsible for managing inventory, administrative tasks and any occasional special events. Free, onsite housing is available.

Responsibilities:

• Keep kitchen area clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinate staff schedules and work assignments.
• Maintain good working relationships with staff and customers.
• Provide guidance to other staff members.
• Consistently meet the needs of customers.
• Gather ingredients, prepare food, and plan meals in accordance with recipes or special requests.
• Supervise kitchen staff; delegate tasks, and provide feedback.
• Order food supplies in sufficient quantity to meet production goals.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $5,600.00 - $6,400.00 per month
