Whibco, Inc. seeks a qualified Controller for our corporate office in Cumberland County, New Jersey. The Controller position reports to the Director of Finance and Accounting and is responsible for the accounting, taxation, computer and certain finance functions for the Company and affiliates.

Whibco was founded in 1841, and is America’s first producer of sand for use in the metal casting industry. Whibco is privately-owned and operated, and is a regional leader in the industrial sand and construction materials industry. Whibco’s headquarters and the plant are located in beautiful Southern New Jersey; providing a reasonable cost of living, yet in close proximity to urban centers, the beach and recreational opportunities.

Overall Responsibilities:

· Management of all accounting, taxation, computer and certain finance functions, reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting.

· Directly manage the accounting staff.

· Manage company internal controls.

· Manage corporation relationships with auditors on accounting and tax matters.

· Manage inventory control procedures and physical inventories.

· Manage corporation relationships with bankers, investment & insurance advisors.

· Provide financial reports and create corporate budgets.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

· Minimum of five years relevant accounting experience.

· Good supervisory skills.

· Solid Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills.

· QuickBooks Enterprise experience a plus.

· Tax education and/or experience a plus.

· Computer systems management a plus.

· Human Resource experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
