Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Read and understand blueprints or project documents and compile accurate project estimates.
• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion i.e., organization, scheduling, implementation, monitoring progress and overall compliance with safety codes.
• Assists with the financial planning and monitoring of the project; keep management informed of any changes.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Plans ahead to prevent any problems and resolve any that may emerge.
• Review the work progress on a daily basis.
• Ensure that all health, safety and environmental regulations are being observed.
• Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
• Resolves problems that may arise due to inclement weather, emergencies or other issues and delays.
• Performs cost-estimating duties for the various projects.
• Available after general work hours in order to respond to emergency calls.
• Maintains the material and supplies inventory using the guidelines established by the company.
• Primarily works independently and takes the lead role on projects.
• Directs help as needed for projects to ensure productivity and safety.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Ensures that all properties maintain an appropriate appearance in order to project a positive image.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, building science or relevant field is preferred; candidates with certification from a two-year technical related program will also be considered; and/or
• At least five (5) years of related experience and/or training
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management experience
• Familiarity with quality, health and safety standards
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
