Overview:

We are looking for someone with an understanding of the long term sales process. If you have a competitive spirit and comfortable communicating over the phone. We will train you about the industry and how to identify the client’s needs and how to provide creative solutions to meet their objectives. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for bringing in new and assisting existing customers to help grow their book of business. You will spend your days effectively communicating with both internal (Operations) and external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Generate revenue by cold calling, networking, etc.

Business Development – Ability to grow and manage your own book of business.

Understand your clients, their business, processes, and identify areas needing improvement.

Communicate, written and verbal, to both internal (operations team and management) and external customers.

Maintain accurate records – Report on customer account activity weekly (quoting, loads booked, etc.)

Data entry – Building loads into our software management system.

Provide updates and keep customers informed based on information received from our Operations department.

Effectively prioritize, manage your time, and meet deadlines.

Manage customer credit and invoicing to insure proper billing is obtained. Work with Corporate to obtain credit for customers and ensure customers are paying their bills.

Educate yourself regularly on industry trends and shifting markets.

Education and experience:

Sales and/or Customer Service

Knowledge of the transportation industry is key Good math and analytic skills in order to generate quoting and transit times

Knowledge of US Geography and basic map reading skills is required

Proven track record of success

Ability to operate basic office equipment and learn software systems.

Compensation:

Competitive compensation package which includes base salary plus unlimited monthly earned bonus. Benefits offered are Medical, Dental, Disability, Life and 401k, as well as paid time off (PTO) from day one.
