SUMMARY
The shipping and receiving associate is responsible for the clerical work in connection with shipping in and out of our warehouse. This includes finalizing the days delivered sales, answering the phones, and communicating with sales representatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to route tucks.
Check in delivery associates after they have completed their scheduled deliveries.
Finalize the days delivered sales
Communicate any issues with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction is met.
Enter receipt of good for all products received.
Verify items received by comparing the purchase order and the packing list.
Validate RF Scanner entries
Prepare BOL for shipments
Confirm outbound deliveries for Grand Delivery crews
Process paperwork in computer system accurately and timely
Post vendor bills to accounts payable
Makes independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling own work.
Complete related documentation
Process products in a timely manner in the system along with associated paperwork
Additional tasks and projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
Professional communication skills, Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Highly proficient in the MS Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work under pressure or deadlines and handle multiple priorities
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in an appropriate manner
Professional appearance and courteous manner
Attention to detail
Ability to physically lift 50+ lbs.
Ability to route trucks.
