Job responsibilities

• Using our shipping software to minimize our shipping cost
• Picking, packing, and shipping out packages
• Performing physical inventory counts
• Arranging for and supervising labor
• Unloading containers
• Arranging trucking in and out
• Inspecting and processing returns
• Requesting reimbursements with Amazon and others
• Checking our products for defects
• Forecasting packaging needs
• Making sure our security systems are working
• Building cases into full pallets for shipping out
• Making sure FedEx and USPS pick-ups occur on time
• Whatever else needs to be done in the warehouse for us to be successful

Requirements

• You must be a high attention to detail person. This is an absolute must.
• You must be able to SAFELY drive and use a forklift
• You must have good accurate counting and arithmetic / math skills
• You must have good computer skills
• Must be able to lift packages that are 50 pounds

Time Commitment

• This is a full-time position with at least 40 hours a week of work.
• This job is 8 hours of good work per day.
• Hours are somewhat flexible. Can start at 8 and finish at 4 without a lunch break (lunch is not paid). You can start at 9, take 1 hour for an unpaid lunch and finish at 6.
• There are two paid 15 minute breaks.
• No overtime.

Location

• Warehouse is located at 6000 Chandler Rd, #100, Hutto, TX, 78634 (https://goo.gl/maps/u5vHTC7WQAYfivzv8), which is ~1 minute from exit 419 (Chandler / University) on State Highway 130. We are just east of Tractor Supply on Chandler.
• The office is air conditioned but the warehouse is not. You will be expected to spend most of your time in the warehouse.
• Preference will be given to candidates who live 15 minutes or less from our facility or those who intend to move to be within 15 minutes

Compensation

• Payroll is weekly
• Bonuses are given every ~February 1 ranging from 0 to 15% of salary
• There are opportunities for career advancement at our company
• 10 days of vacation will be offered
• Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day will be paid holidays by the company, but you will need to work on Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve
• Health insurance available for those who want it (but it will be deducted from your salary). We will pay 100% of the bronze plan offered by blue cross blue shield. If you want insurance better than that, we will pay the bronze plan cost, and you will pay the excess of a silver or gold plan.
• These benefits (health insurance, vacation, bonuses) are available after 3 month of probationary period

• Viahart was founded in 2010. We have 10 people on our team. We are an educational toy company. We design, manufacture, and distribute plush, active play products, and building toys. Our company's goal is to inspire capability and confidence in children. Our brands include the building toy Brain Flakes, the racket game Goodminton, and our plush line Tiger Tale Toys.
