Position Summary:
Responsible for direct provision of therapy, counseling and educational services within the scope of their licensure or certification within the Behavioral Health program. Provides therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups and represents the Agency in the field. (County Office of Community Corrections an DOC SA) (Serving and travel to Grand Rapids, Holland and Muskegon)
$5,000 signing bonus- split between your first full paycheck and after your 9-month work anniversary

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities:
- Openings for Kent, Ottawa, Allegan and Muskegon Counties and Grand Rapids and Holland)
Provides counseling, psycho-educational services, screenings and/or psychotherapy and diagnostic assessments per licensure capacity.
Coordinates services as required by the program.
Provides case consultation within the agency and with community resources.
Plans and provides educational presentations as requested.
Maintains productivity expectations.
Provides emergency assistance as needed to clients.
Maintains client records in accordance with standard timelines and contractual requirements.
Participates in mental health and substance abuse development activities.
What are we looking for?
Must compose self and their practice under the Code of Ethics of their profession.
Knowledge of computer systems and relevant software.
Knowledge of community resources.
Knowledge of direct counseling, therapeutic services, and child welfare programs.
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
Ability to engage clients in treatment.
Ability to communicate with outside agencies while maintaining all HIPAA requirements.
Ability to address issues affecting indigent populations.
Ability to make appropriate assessments and recommendations.
Must abide by the NASW code of Ethics.
Ability to prepare reports, maintain records and collect and evaluate client data.
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- This position requires State of Michigan certifications or licensure as specified per program.

Certification as a Sex Offender Treatment Specialist with the Forensic Training Institute preferred.

Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals and Certified Advance Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certificate of MCBAP CAADC Development Plan required if providing Substance Use Disorder Services.

Bi-lingual; Spanish-Speaking individual preferred.
Recommended Employment Qualifications:
Salary Range:$55,000-$65,000 annually
Education:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited college or university
Experience:
- A minimum three years of experience in therapy or related experience is strongly preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
A valid active Michigan professional license is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
