Software Integrator

MANDEX currently has a need for a Software Integrator to join our team in Charleston, SC. The Engineer provides DCGS-MC System-of-Systems (SoS) lifecycle support services to Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic, to include research, development, production, and fielding of scalable, secure, interoperable, sustainable, and survivable Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR), Information Operations (IO), and Enterprise Information Services (EIS) capabilities. Support also includes the development of new C5ISR and information technology (IT) capabilities, the maintenance and upgrade of existing C5ISR and IT capabilities, and the integration of existing hardware and software capabilities into a consolidated system baseline.

Personnel on this task will support NIWC Atlantic migration of select United States Marine Corps (USMC) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) processing and exploitation capabilities into a single integrated hardware and software baseline. Personnel will provide support for end systems that deliver consist scalable and functional capabilities for providing All-Source and Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) processing, exploitation, and dissemination capabilities to support USMC intelligence analysts across the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF), with the goals of increasing the discoverability, accessibility, and comprehension of organic and internal ISR data through a scalable and standards-based system architecture.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct design, development, and documentation of software to support engineering, security, and scientific disciplines to perform technical analysis of, development of, selection of software, or modification to existing software currently fielded by DCGS-MC.
• Conduct requirement and function analysis for input into the overall systems design that details requirements for human-machine interfaces, personnel skills and knowledge, and instructional systems development and training delivery.
• Experience with interdisciplinary technical and management processes for integrating human considerations with and across all system elements including operating, maintaining, and supporting Human Systems Integration (HSI).
• Support software engineering efforts and development required to support software, sub-systems, and components utilizing computers, electronics, and software; including planning, designing, developing, integrating, supporting, and delivering algorithms, software (source code and executable), and computer programs.
• Participate and assist in preparation for SRS reviews, HRS reviews, Software Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Software Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Non-Developmental Integration Reviews (NIRs), and System Design Reviews.
• Provide software development and application development for Distributed Common Ground/Surface System – Marine Corps Geospatial and All-Source Intelligence utilizing Java, J2EE, Javascript, HypertextMarkup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
• Will work directly with system components such as JBOSS Wildfly Applications Servers and development frameworks such as Spring and JQuery.

EXPERIENCE:

• Ten (10) years of experience in C4ISR software development and integration programs to include:
• Technology Analysis and Assessment
• Design Definition
• Development of Systems Specification
• Systems Analysis
• Systems Architecture
• Systems/Equipment Integration
• Test and Evaluation Criteria
• Logistics Support of C4ISR Requirements
• Five (5) years of technical experience in support of Navy or Marine Corps Command and Control Systems. Note: experience may be concurrent.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, or Computer Science.
• Possess or have completed the following certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties:
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) OR A Red Hat® Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• A certification in that meets the requirements for IAT level 2 (i.e. Security + CISSP).
