Northgate Auto Service is a three bay automotive repair facility with strong roots in the Durham community. With 3 automotive technicians we strive to provide customers with a reliable, trustworthy & honest automotive repair experience for all of their general automotive and maintenance needs.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an organized, customer-oriented person interested in vehicle repair. The successful candidate has a mechanical aptitude and would enjoy the opportunity to use their troubleshooting skills on a daily basis. The Service Writer is responsible for setting appointments with service customers, preparing repair orders and providing support to customers while they are in the shop.

Responsibilities:

• Answer calls and provide customer support with estimates, appointment scheduling and general questions
• Properly document customer concerns and be able to translate and communicate these concerns with repair technicians
• Price, lookup and order correct parts for vehicle repairs
• Update customers on recommended repairs, repair estimate and sale recommended services
• Oversee and orchestrate workflow of vehicle repairs between shop technicians

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,933.00 - $51,229.00 per year
