Position details:

• We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the bookkeeping/accounting department, with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting.
• Additionally, you will be training our bookkeepers/accountants so they can serve our clients in the most efficient and effective way, as well as develop standards and processes for proper financial management.
• The Senior Accounting Manager will report directly to the Senior Client Manager.
• An attractive salary package is offered depending on experience.

About you:

• The ideal candidate should be a good leader, results and outcome driven.
• Train and help Accountants/Bookkeepers in your team.
• Help, support and train the Client Manager with technical knowledge.
• You will not be required to see clients face to face in person, but occasionally you will be asked meet them via Zoom to help your client manager with: strategic client meetings, client software selection, business mentoring, strategic tax planning and structuring advice.
• Over 5 years of experience within United States Public Accounting working in tax and business advisory and 1-2 years working as a Manager.
• Attention to detail; analytical thinker
• Experience preparing tax returns (although you will not be preparing them, you will be reviewing), financial statements, tax planning figures & analysis, budget and cash flow management, Sales & Use Tax (preferred) and knowledge of law firm and/or e-commerce industry (preferred), payroll processing and related advance experience.
• The successful applicant needs a very high level of technical knowledge and an ability to apply it to finalize work for clients.
• The CPA or EA qualification is desirable but not a necessity.
• Experience using the following software: QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Gusto and other third party practice management software is desired by not necessary.
