TexMed Home Health is currently looking for a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team of in-house therapists, for work in Lampasas, Kempner, Cove and surrounding areas. We are seeking a PTA who is highly motivated and energetic. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly, positive and professional environment. Responsibilities:

Physical Therapist Assistant provides quality therapy services by assisting the Physical Therapist with the treatment of patients in order to restore them to their prior level of function. The Physical Therapist Assistant also must follow required guidelines.

Individually designed programs of physical treatment are carried out to maintain, improve or restore physical function and alleviate pain in patients; appropriate and timely documentation of patient’ s prognosis, treatment, goals, and response; education to stay informed on treatments and techniques to benefit the patient; establish and maintain channels of communication with nursing team and therapist.

Requirements:
Must maintain valid state physical therapist assistant license.
Must possess basic computer skills; intermediate skills preferred.
Must possess therapy services knowledge, leadership and delegation skills and experience.
Must pass company required drug screen and physical and background screening.
Must maintain a valid driver’ s license and have the ability to travel locally.
