JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice in the provision of pharmaceutical services within the organization.

JOB DUTIES

• Enter orders in the computer system (Frameworks) and perform quality assurance (QA) function on these orders.
• Recognizes possible synergistic, antagonistic or cumulative effects of drugs.
• Provide pharmaceutical knowledge to staff about medications and clients.
• Answers the phone, thus providing pharmaceutical information and answering medication order questions.
• Responsible for quality assurance (QA) on orders entered by Pharmacy Technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Holds a current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment and is a resident of that state.
• Thorough knowledge of all applicable State/Federal laws, rules and regulations.
• Working knowledge of personnel administration, physician and nursing consultations and interdepartmental relationships.
• Negative drug test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $51.50 per hour
