General Sound is a family owned distributor of consumer electronics with a 40-year history. We have an immediate opening for a seasoned and experienced Order Processor, Customer Service and Shipping Coordinator to join our team and grow with us. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years experience with companies that sell and ship consumer goods to retail companies and, directly to customers through online companies such as Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Process and track all incoming purchase orders.
• Communicate with customer companies regarding orders, freight forwarders and shipping companies regarding shipment schedule and updates.
• Confirming incoming orders via email and followed by phone calls.
• Look for carriers via email to ship orders.
• Ensuring that orders are pulled accurately before shipping
• Generate invoices for every shipment on the same day
• Track shipments, and confirm delivery
• Customer service
• Processing claims for damaged merchandise.
• Data entry
• Other related duties assigned in the capacity of an office clerk

Requirements:

• AA Degree (Bachelors preferred)
• At least 5 years related experience
• EDI portal
• Computer proficiency, Quickbooks and, Microsoft Excel and word
• Filling
• Customer service experience by telephone
• Organizational skills.
• Bilingual speaking and writing (English / Spanish)
• Accounting experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Excellent listening and communications skills.
• Extremely on-time with attendance
• Able to perform well without need for much supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
