Job Description

AEL-Span/Walker SCM is looking for a 2nd Shift Operations Manager for our warehouse facility in Enfield, North Carolina. We are looking for the right person who shares our philosophy of Operational Excellence on a daily basis. AEL-SPAN’s primary objective is to deliver the right part, to the right place, at the right time.

Summary of Position

We are looking for a professional Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our organization’s operations. This position ensures accurate performance within the assigned facility in regard to operational performance, proper documentation control, productivity control and also to increase level of customer satisfaction. The specific duties of an operations manager include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
• Ensure satisfactory completion and resolution to department 8D problem reports in area
• Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
• Review and update the operation procedures when needed
• Participate in, and may lead, Continuous Improvement Projects within assigned areas
• Manage KPI’s as assigned including Overtime and team productivity metrics
• Understand and enforce adherence to product handling procedures, especially in regard to product identification and physical and system location procedures

Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain Management concepts and methods
• Experience with sequencing, repacking, quality, and schedule routes for fulfillment of a JIT operation
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Leadership ability
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Associate Degree or higher preferred
