SciTec has immediate opportunities for talented software & algorithm developers and engineers to support programs focusing C++ development on image processing, data fusion, and analysis applications for exploitation of remote sensing systems/Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) data.

Responsibilities

• As part of a multi-disciplinary team, support the implementation of data processing algorithms for remote sensor data. Develop algorithms and algorithm implementations which meet customer requirements for throughput, latency, and accuracy.
• Support the integration of SciTec data processing algorithms into customer software architectures. Support the design and integration of new functionality and components to enable software interoperability.
• Working with subject matter experts, transform laboratory proof-of-concepts of new data processing techniques into production-quality implementations. Communicate effectively with subject matter experts and software developers with other technology focus areas.
• Rapidly learn about customer problem domains, and identify new opportunities for development or improvement of software systems to address customer pain points.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with a team of other developers using Agile methods, distribute version control (e.g. Git), and DevOps development infrastructure.
• Develop software which meets SciTec and customer standards for maintainability, testability, security, and documentation.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
• Demonstrated fluency in the following languages: C++
• At least one year experience using Linux operating systems

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred

• A current active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
• Experience with the exploitation and analysis of OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remotely sensed data

• An advanced degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
• Professional experience with Agile software development
• Demonstrated fluency in Python
• Detail oriented
• Good verbal and written communication skills

The pay range for this position is $74,000 - $89,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
