Description: Work with several other engineering personnel, materials management, production, and sales staff to create new products and designs. Evaluation and implementation considerations include aesthetics, cost to produce, speed to market, and production equipment required.

Responsibilities:

• 4-5 years previous Engineering
• Project management
• Extensive use of SolidWorks software to develop 3D parts, assemblies and 2D engineering drawings.
• Create and revise existing production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
• Check dimensions of parts, materials used, and relations of parts to whole structure or assembly.
• Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, and mathematics.
• Maintain drawings, CAD files, and CAM files in file management system.
• Work with production staff to identify drawing and CAM changes, and help resolve design issues in a timely manner.
• Provide engineering/design support
• Generate CAM files based on pre-determined parameters for materials and tools
• Create new methods of manufacturing for new and existing products
• Design and source new features for existing and new product lines.
• Other tasks and projects as needed

Technical Skills Required:

• Solid experience using CAD software
• Solid experience using Excel
• Design table driven Solidworks software
• Understanding of production process workflows and optimization
• Production oriented design
• Detail oriented
• Create and understand assembly drawings
• Understand and appreciate the goal of improving production processes to increase efficiency

Technical Skills Preferred:

• Experience with Enroute software
• Experience with CNC programming
• Experience with VBA programming
• Familiarity and, or experience with welding process

• Follow company policies and act as an example to others
• Always wear safety glasses in production area
• Always wear safety gloves when using a knife and other sharp objects
• Walk or stand on cement floors in production environment
