POSITION SUMMARY

Clinicians will conduct individual sessions, group counseling sessions, conduct assessments according to ORR requirements, complete service plans, and case reviews. Clinicians will assess risk, provide support as needed, and will conduct Significant Incident Reports when appropriate and meeting Office Of Refugee Resettlement expectations. Clinicians will work closely with other teams and staff to ensure youths wellbeing, and safety.

Essential Functions:

● Clinicians will conduct 20 minute individual sessions with youth once a week, unless modification is needed, as but not limited to increasing time or increasing sessions per week.
● Review youth referrals; coordinate and complete telephonic or in person interviews ● Clinicians will conduct two one hour groups weekly.
● Clinicians will conduct risk assessments every time there is a change in youth’s behavior or emotional well being.
● Ensure the timely completion of (assessments) Initial Intake, Emergency Placement, and Individual Service Plans in accordance with VisionQuest, State, and Federal requirements. Additional assessments may be required depending on the need of the case. Forms are subject to change at any time
● Screen for trauma, child abuse, including sexual abuse and human trafficking at all times.
● Screen for risk of harm to self and others, and suicidal ideation.
● Conduct individual service plans with youth, identifying goals, objectives, and safety plans.
● Provide oversight for youth’s mental and emotional health
● Provide crisis intervention as needed including and not limited to answering the phone after working hours.
● Assess need for higher levels of mental health care/and ORR placement, including outside referral for psychological or psychiatric evaluations, medication, or other therapy treatments.
● Coordinate care with other teams, case management, staff, medical, and educational as needed.

Position Description:
● Coordinate with case manager and other team members regarding reunifications of UC with sponsors.
● Document accordingly in the UC portal, google drive, and update documents in a timely manner.
● Maintain clinical case files materials according to ORR policies and procedures.
● Document individual sessions, groups, etc, in a timely manner.
● Ensure that Clinical Significant Incident Reports (SIRs) are submitted within 4 hours upon notification of the incident and that additional reports are submitted to state licensing and VisionQuest’s internal reporting mechanism as required.
● Attend all organizational required training and facilitate training as needed. Attend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or provided and to ensure that changes to policy or practice are implemented and adhered to.
● Will be able to help organize special events for youth, sports, holidays, etc.
● Be able to flex time to attend youth’s special events, academic achievements, sports, etc.
● Clinicians will carry a caseload of 12 youth and be able to take a higher caseload temporarily as needed. Temporarily manage other clinicians’ caseload as needed.
● Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess the following qualifications:

● Master’s degree in social work or another relevant behavioral field.
● Clinical experience working with youth who have been victims of abuse and trafficking.
● Experience working with minorities, preferably with youth from Central America.
● Maintain licensure or be eligible for licensure.
● Must be competent to utilize google drive, UC portal, word, and other computer programs.
● Must be able to work weekends.
● Must be flexible to work in the youth’s home, in office, and or other specified ares.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds infrequently.
• Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50%of the day.
• May bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
