Job Description :

MillerAsen, P.A., a boutique law firm, is seeking an experienced full-time legal assistant in the family and estate planning/probate areas of law. Our legal assistants skillfully manage a fast-paced workload, docketing and tracking deadlines, drafting correspondence and court documents while working well under the pressure of a busy law practice. The candidate must be a dependable self-starter, who can work both independently and as part of a team and be detail-oriented with superb organizational skills.

The candidate must enjoy working with people and helping with a client's legal situation. Because family law often involves discrete, confidential, and emotionally charged issues such as child custody and finances, the successful applicant will have professional, compassionate, and excellent interpersonal communication skills and must be capable of handling clients who may be anxious, upset, or distressed.

This position requires legal experience. A knowledge of family law, estate planning/probate, or litigation is a plus. A candidate should also possess superior administrative support skills, a proactive attitude, and a good sense of humor, along with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and to timely follow up. MillerAsen maintains all files digitally, so strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel) are essential.

The firm offers a competitive salary based upon experience, paid parking, paid time off, health insurance, 401(k) plan with match, and an excellent and friendly work environment.

Interested candidates should reply to this ad with the submission of a resume and cover letter.
