Job Description :

The American College of Physicians (ACP) is seeking an experienced Recruiter in its Human Resources department. ACP, a national organization of internal medicine physicians with headquarters in Philadelphia, is the largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group in the United States with 160,000 members worldwide.

The HR Recruiter will primarily coordinate the full cycle recruitment process, collaborating with and supporting hiring managers throughout each step from job requisition submission to selection and hiring. Additionally, they will provide operational support to the HR department in the areas of new hire onboarding, employee recognition and engagement, HRIS and intranet maintenance, performance management, event planning, and office administration. This is a hybrid position with one day per week in-office required. Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct strategic outreach to effectively source, recruit, and screen qualified and diverse candidates, ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational procedures
  • Facilitate the pre-employment processing and onboarding activities for new hires
  • Coordinate ACP’s service award program, including vendor relations, communicating with employees and managers, and reviewing and processing invoices
  • Post HR-related items to the employee intranet and assist with creating content for this and other HR social media platforms
  • Support recruitment activities such as preparing for job fairs, meeting with staffing agencies, and analyzing recruitment metrics
  • Assist with performance management activities, supply ordering, updating HR policies and processes, and employee relations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field; PHR or SHRM certification preferred
  • At least 2 years of human resources experience and 1 year of full-cycle recruiting experience required; event planning experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of EEO and other employment laws
  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of Word and Excel, and experience with HRIS, ATS, and performance management software
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to handle confidential information is essential
