Job Description :

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Administer STD leaves and paid time off with Unum

· Prepare required daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as well as special reports as requested

· Participate in the planning and execution of employee functions and events

· Assist with onboarding of all new employees, such as new employee orientation, explanation of benefits, explanation of company policies, practices, and procedures, and verifying I-9

· Work with employees to answer benefits questions and assist in processing life events and open enrollment elections

· Assist in hiring and interviewing staff if needed

· Assist in keeping the HR department in compliance

· Process hourly, bi-weekly payroll for processing through Namely for Portland and Lebanon

· Responsible for administering the payroll system

· Track reported issues with payroll system and work with vendor to have corrected

· Review time and attendance records for completeness and accuracy

· Reconcile payroll records with approved timecards

· Process wage garnishments and other deductions

· Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database

· Administer FMLA

· Provide administrative support to the Manager, Human Resources and other Managers

· Comply with Portland Forge ethics and compliance policies.

· Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred but not required or related experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
