The City of Warrensburg is accepting applications for a Full Time Human Resource Specialist with the Human Resource Department. Starting wage based on qualifications and experience. Salary range is $47,756.80 to 71,635.20 annually, plus employee benefit package. Minimum Requirements: Position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, human resources or related field. Three years fo increasingly responsible experience working in human resources and benefit administration. Municipal experience preferred.

The successful candidate will perform complex professional and administrative work and be responsible for a wide range of Human Resource administrative work. Essential functions will include but not be limited to performing and managing the following human resource functions: talent recruitment and retention, compensation and benefit administration, maintenance of personnel files, worker's compensation claims, monitoring all labor laws for changes affecting the City's workers, administering the Family Medical Leave Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act, organizing and performing on-boarding and off-boarding processes for all city employees, managing open enrollment and semi-annual evaluations of all full time employees, investigating and documenting work place complaints or concerns as requested by department directors or the City Manager and conducts special projects, studies and analyses as directed providing recommendations to the City Manager. Works independently at a skilled level under the general supervision of the City Manager.
