QC Manager

For over 45 years, Technology Dynamics, Inc. (TDI) has been the leading designer and manufacturer of the industry’s most diverse lineup of rugged AC and DC power sources including DC power supplies, DC-AC inverters, UPS systems and AC frequency converters for military and heavy industry applications. The Quality Control Manager leads our team of QC Inspectors during sub- and final-assemblies which include analog circuits and electronic power systems for ground, shipboard and avionics applications. The ideal candidate is quantitative in nature and a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits and playing a key role in process improvement programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a quant-based QC system to track continual improvement in quality rates and a measured reduction in warranty returns.
• Manage compliance to the company’s existing ISO 9001:2015 Quality Control system.
• Lead team of QC Inspectors to ensure standardized production, quality and customer-service standards.
• Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action.
• Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings.
• Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and providing timely performance feedback.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ relevant experience with power supplies and/or electronic assemblies.
• Experience with IPC-A-610 Standard and ISO 9001 Standard.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly organized with very strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of statistics preferred.
