CERTIFIED DENTAL ASSISTANT AND/OR FRONT OFFICE PERSONAL

Being cross trained in dental assisting and front office duties would be a great asset to our wonderful team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for dentistry and excellent customer service skills

Dr. Maria Claus, Root Canal Specialist, is an Endodontist. Endodontics is a speciality of root canal therapy but will train and prefer a dental assistant that has assisted in general dentistry. Our office is open Monday through Thursday 7:45-5:30, occasional Friday mornings. Duties include:

Responsibilities:

• Cross-trained in both front office and dental assisting duties is a plus but NOT a requirement!
• Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
• Schedule appointments, confirm appointments, and manage patient records
• Process payments and insurance verification.
• Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist the dentist during procedures
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Educate patients on dental health

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dental assisting certification and front office experience is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Skills

• Proven experience as dental assistant
• MUST have radiology license
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulation.
• GOOD computer skills
• EXCELLENT communication and people skills
• Attention to detail!
• Well-organized and reliable

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience
