What you would do in this role

  • Responsible for providing on-site service for our clients on Access Control (Card Access), CCTV (Video Surveillance), Intercom, Network infrastructure, PA Systems, and other PC-based Systems.
  • Provision new workstation and servers including needed security application.
  • Install system upgrades to enhance system functionality and maintain high availability.
  • On-site service visits to set up new systems and troubleshoot and repair existing systems.
  • Utilize industry knowledge, manuals, tech support, and subject matter experts (coworkers) to identify the source of the issue that the client is experiencing and work to resolve it.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams, understand basic electrical theory and circuits.
  • Break down complex system to understand and locate issues base on the software hardware and client reports.
  • Responsible for integrating security systems and implementation of new software and products.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with clients and maintain open communication via in-person, phone, video call, and email.
  • Report the results of work performed, problems encountered, and client dissatisfaction in the form of prompt written service reports.
  • Assist in training other personnel and the client in the use, operation, adjustments, and proper maintenance procedures for our equipment.
  • Make recommendations for product improvements that affect operation and reliability.
  • Remain up to date on industry standards and technological developments.

Requirements

  • Be able to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently on multiple issues.
  • Ability to call and interpret manufacturer technical support for product support.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • A valid driver's license, can drive company vehicle, and be insurable under fleet policy.
  • Be able to pass background screening and drug test (including marijuana) as our Security License with the State of Michigan requires thorough background checks and places certain restrictions on hiring.
  • Be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with team members and/or other clients.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 75lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for reaching, climbing, and lifting of small to large objects, and operating construction equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
