Primary Purpose
To research, design, develop, and implement new technologies and products that surprise & delight our customers. The focus of this role is on electromechanical technologies and products, such as batteries, electric motors, and motor controllers. This position requires an engineer who can create and manage their own project, taking on a lead role early in the project and carrying that to implementation of a product.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Does everything possible to move the Work Sharp’s business forward(all positions have this responsibility).
  • Mechanical design (3D CAD) and material selection.
  • Wire harness and electrical conductor design (2D or 3D).
  • Specification and selection of electrical components (connectors, motors, fuses, wire, passive components, conductors).
  • Produce, maintain, and release 2D drawings (tolerances, specification, GD&T, revisions)
  • Requirements development (mechanical, electrical, and firmware) and product brief contribution.
  • Run in-house testing for your designs to verify they meet requirements and standards (mechanical, thermal, environmental, reliability, safety, abuse).

Qualifications

  • B.S. in engineering (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics)
  • 6+ years of product development experience
  • 3+ years of experience using SolidWorks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
