Job Description

The Aviary Restaurant is a casual fine dining restaurant with 130+ seats located in Swansea, MA. Our property is expanding to include The Aviary Event Venue housing two event spaces with a total of 125+ seats, and The Rookery, a casual pub-style restaurant with 45+ seats set to open March 2023.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager. In this position, you will assist the General Manager overseeing daily operations of all areas of the business, including The Aviary and The Rookery. The AGM will be responsible for training our team to provide superior guest experiences while meeting personal and company revenue goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling for FOH
• Hiring, training and coaching all service positions
• Ensure a quality guest experience, including private dining
• Coordinate activities with all other Managers and maintain professional relationships
• Supporting the General Manager in all aspects of overseeing and leading the daily operations in a positive environment
• Managing an active social media presence

Qualifications

• Successful experience in a leading role in a high volume, upscale dining and/or casual style pub.
• Experience with private events
• Have a thorough understanding of labor control
• Proficient with computers, restaurant software and MS office
• Understanding of all social media platforms
• Effective supervisory skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
