About us

Our company is an owner and operator of Assisted Living Communities.

You will be the Assistant Executive Director for one assisted living facility Statesville, North Carolina. As the Assistant Executive Director of the community you will assume the day-to-day operations of the community. You will be responsible for setting the culture and hiring all team members. You will coordinate, plan, implement, monitor, direct and evaluate all aspects of the assisted living operations including supervision, support and coaching of all employees based in the senior living community.

  • Manages the operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies our company
  • Must have administrators license and must be ready to step in to fill staffing roles where required
  • Communicates a clear, resident-focused vision to the community
  • Reviews annual resident satisfaction survey. Develops and deploys programs to ensure and increase resident satisfaction
  • Manages the Executive Director of each community. Holds Executive Director accountable for achievement of community-specific and organization-wide goals
  • Ensures buildings, grounds and property are up to company standards of excellence. Assists Executive Team with development of annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Develops plan to meet NOI expectations with the Executive Director
  • Develops and executes plans to increase occupancy Maintains strong knowledge of competition
  • Develops and maintains a positive image with Region. Becomes active in social and civic affairs in the various community. Represents the facility and the company to governmental agencies, professional organizations, community groups and other appropriate public agencies/groups.
  • Generally, spends three-four days per a month at each of the communities. Remainder of work is regularly performed from home office or corporate office
  • Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee and/or manage efforts related to recruitment, hiring, team member relations and separations of Community Leaders in accordance with policy.
  • Responsible for oversight of Community Executive Directors, maintaining full responsibility for efficient operations and compliance with the financial goals established in the approved Operating Budget within the Region.
  • Responsible for delegating authority, responsibility and accountability to the responsible leader. Lead the Regional team in support of the mission and values of the organization in accordance with community values.
  • Demonstrate an attitude of teamwork when interacting with Community Team Members; take ownership of job responsibilities through prompt and appropriate follow-up to issues as they arise (ensuring appropriate resolution); anticipate needs of residents and/or Community Team Members in a proactive fashion.
  • Promote development of team management skills, capabilities and sharing of best practices through participation in and leadership within Region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, Gerontology or other course of study that relates to service to the elderly, preferred in order to be considered to run the assisted/independent living home.
  • Solid Tenure
  • Be licensed (if required)
  • You must be able to demonstrate a successful path in operations experience specific to senior living, assisted living, Alzheimer’s / Memory care communities.
  • Extensive traveling to both facilities (Located in NC) will be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
  • Commission pay

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Management Experience: 5 years (Required)
  • Leadership Experience: 5 years (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Required)
